Together Forever

Before I met you, I never imagined that such perfect love existed. I would see couples and how happy they were together and while I admired what they had, I didn’t really understand what it was. It seemed so strange to me that two people could spend so much time together and still never get enough of being around each other.

While I’ve always been a helpless romantic, I had no understanding of the depth of commitment and incredible bond that develops in true love relationships. I knew that someday I would find true love because I believe in my heart that there is one person out there for everyone.

I just never imagined that you would be so beautiful. The second I saw you, I felt it in my gut. You are it. To this day, every time I look into your eyes, I am reminded of the way my heart stopped when we first met. You have the most sincere smile and just the sound of your voice is enough to warm my entire body. When you take my hand everything is right in the world, and I’ve never felt more at home than I do in your arms. We must have kissed at least a thousand times, but I remember where and when every one of them was, and how they made me feel. I know that I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have such a blessing in my life. It is an honor to have you as my everything. You make it easy to love you that it’s natural to me as breathing. I still get as anxious and excited to call you now as I did the first time I called you.

I fall in love with every time you cross my mind, and I will always have an insanely big crush on you. You’ve made me understand what I couldn’t really grasp before, true love. I’ll admire how we rose above a nearly impossible challenge, one that most couple wouldn’t approach. I’ll appreciate all the sacrifices we made to keep each other sane. I’ll value the time and money we put into traveling just to see each other. I’ll remember the hours of sleep we lost on the phone just to make sure the other felt appreciated, comforted and loved. Most of all, I’ll cherished the limited time we actually spent together, and how we filled those days with more love and happiness than most couples fit in a lifetime.

Now that I come to realize what those couples that I admired had, I can’t say that that is the case for us. We have something so much stronger and real than that. A love like ours is once in a lifetime, and I have never seen two people more in love than we are.
